Tres, 7 months old
Tres is roughly 7 months old and was rescued from a horrible hoarding case. She has come so far in learning to finally enjoy life and is finally getting to be a kitten. She can still be a little shy at times and while not a lap cat yet, she will sit next to her foster mom on the couch! She loves neck and back scratches and purrs so loud. Tres is very smart and taught herself to play fetch so be prepared to spend hours throwing her mouse toy for her. She gets along great with all the cats in her foster home and would love a sibling to run around and play with, although she would be fine by herself too!
Will you be the one to give Tres her first family? She is learning more every day about how great life can be outside of a hoarding case and she would love to keep learning with you. She has a lot of love to give!

Great news for Captain!!! His biopsy for his eye that was removed came back and there was NO EVIDENCE OF cancer! On top of that he’s consistently eaten on his own for a few days, so he had his feeding tube removed today along with the sutures on his eye. He is cone free and behaving much better now that he feels good! Almost immediately after being free he ate a whole meal by himself. ❤️
Unfortunately due to the way his face shape changed when his eye removed, his upper canine is now pressing pretty hard into his lower lip and causing inflammation. Due to all he’s been through, our vet wants to wait 3 months before removing that canine. He has made it through the worst part though and we are SO proud of him, and SO thankful for all of you who donated for him. Without each and every one of you, Captain wouldn’t be here today.
We do still have about 1800 dollars to fundraise between Captain and Jerry & Xena, so please donate if you can! We can’t take on any more kitties with medical issues until we get that balance further down.

Happy tailz alert!!
Recently two of our longer term residents found their forever homes.
First was little guy who we rescued back in September. He had a family once before he ended up outside at the trailer park. He was in rough shape and was getting beat up by the other cats. After beating a nasty ear infection and needing most of his teeth pulled, he had to learn to trust people again and rebuild his confidence. It took some time, but Little Guy became a total lover boy again. He found a wonderful home with a kitty sibling and a patient dad who loves him and is going to give Little Guy all the time he needs to decompress.
Next was Onyx, a kitty we rescued from a hoarding case back in October. He had a severe skin infection over his whole body from the conditions he was living in along with a massive hernia. We got both of those fixed up but he had some pretty bad remaining anxiety from the hoarding case. We started him on Prozac and his whole personality flipped around. He became a total sweetheart when he was feeling better and he found a wonderful mom who doesn’t mind giving him his daily meds. ❤️
See below for their before and after photos, along with them meeting their parents for the first time!

Happy Tailz alert!!
Sissy was one of the many cats we have rescued from the trailer park. She spent her whole 2 years of life outside before we got her, and she was very loved there but they knew she deserved the good indoor life! We got her all vetted and healthy and although she could be a little shy sometimes, she was extremely sweet and very grateful.
She recently found a forever home up north and got to fly in her own private plane to her new dad thanks to Roy! Thank you to her foster Liz and everyone who donates so we can make fairy tale endings come true for cats like Sissy. See below for photos of her meeting her dad for the first time and some other photos of her. The last photo is the day we first got her! Happy tailz Sissy!!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! Recently we have pulled a whopping 10 cats from our local shelter off of the euthanasia list. 6 of these cats (Bella, Kowo, Rosie, Blue, Graystar and Captain) were terrified and acting up because their owners either surrendered them or passed away, and 4 others (Tootsie, Neela, Geenie, and Tres) were considered “unadoptable” after surviving hoarding case situations.
Most rescues are not equipped to handle or don’t want to help cats that are terrified and may need some behavioral rehab, but we are. Luckily for us we had a good amount of fosters step up for these guys and they are all now safely decompressing in foster care. Unfortunately one of these cats Captain came to us in very rough shape. At 11 years old he has 3 legs, a ruptured eye and pretty nasty teeth, so he will be getting his eye removed this week along with a dental if possible depending how long he can tolerate anesthesia for. Captains owner died and he was left behind in rough shape.
We still have almost $3000 dollars needed to fundraise for Xena’s dental this week and Jerry’s upcoming dermatology surgery for his ears. We don’t have an exact quote for Captain yet but we are expecting with the eye removal and dental combined we will be looking at at least $2000 dollars, especially since his initial sedated visit with bloodwork and other diagnostics was a couple hundred dollars on its own.
This means within the next week with all these cats upcoming surgeries, we need to fundraise around $5000 dollars. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET IT!! No other rescue had the ability and/or desire to take these cats on, and we couldn’t let them get euthanized.
Beneath are some photos of Captains eye and all the other cats we’ve recently rescued but not yet posted about. We put before and after photos of the cats who have already begun decompressing- the others are still hiding.
If you can donate ANY amount, it will be extremely appreciated. We don’t want to have to close for intake because of these kitties high bills. 💔 You can donate below or at our PayPal unitedpawsrescueinc@gmail.com

XENA NEEDS YOUR HELP!!! Xena was one of the cats that we rescued from one of the recent hoarding cases from the shelter. Despite only being around a year or two old, she grew up in horrible conditions and that means that she herself is in very rough shape. She has severe damage to her eyes- she is completely blind in one eye and can only see shadows in the other one. On top of that she has a very severe ear infection that she can’t seem to kick, AND she has some very nasty teeth and is going to need a few extracted.
We have already spent a couple hundred dollars trying to get her ears and eyes under control, and now we need to pay for her dental. The high end of the estimate is about 1200 dollars. Her dental is in about 2 weeks so we need to fundraise that amount before then!!!
Please donate so we can get the 1200 dollars needed to get Xena out of pain after all she’s been through. She’s an extremely sweet girl despite how uncomfortable she is and not being able to see. ❤️You can donate below or at our PayPal unitedpawsrescueinc@gmail.com😻
We have some very devastating news to share with you all. We were able to get midnight in today with the surgeon willing to do his PU surgery, and unfortunately as they were prepping him he began to have liquid diarrhea. They cancelled the surgery due to the high risk of infection and we were going to try again in a few days when his diarrhea got better. When they replaced his urinary catheter they took X-rays to make sure it was properly placed, and they discovered his abdomen was full of fluid.
His X-rays and bloodwork were previously fine, so the vets top thought was that he had developed wet FIP due to the major stress he was going through. On top of that, he had severe corneal ulcers that were not responding to any treatment. Even if we had all the money in the world, he wouldn’t have survived a PU surgery to create a new urinary opening with wet FIP, liquid diarrhea right next to the surgery site, and eye ulcers. We want to thank his foster parent Kate for driving to be with him in his last moments before we let him cross the rainbow bridge. His other foster parents Vinh and Lauren were unable to be there, but he knew they loved him too. 💔
We are angry and devastated that he was dumped like trash at the shelter in this severe condition by his owner who “didn’t have time for him.” He was worth all the time in the world and had he gotten help sooner, he would still be with us cuddling and purring like the sweet boy he was. We also want to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who donated for Midnight’s very large bills during his hospital stay. Without you all he wouldn’t have gotten a fighting chance. He died knowing he had an army out there rallying for him.
Rest in peace midnight. We’re sorry we couldn’t save you, but we are glad you are free of pain. 💔🌈

Midnight update!!! He still needs your help!!! Midnight was unblocked and spent several days being hospitalized. He then had his urinary catheter removed, and before we even had a transporter able to come pick him up, he REBLOCKED! What does this mean? It means that Midnight has such severe issues with crystals/trauma to his urethra that he will need a PU surgery to prevent him from continuing to get blocked. This creates a new opening for urine to pass through by decreasing the length of the urethra.
Unfortunately, this is a specialty surgery and will require more hospitalization post-op. His ER vet is not able to perform the surgery, but there is a vet that will likely be able to perform it with an estimate of 1400 dollars. He would then have to be hospitalized again for another week which would add another roughly 2000 dollars. We won’t have exact estimates until Monday morning when we can call the surgeon able to do the PU surgery. This means we need to raise around 3000 dollars for midnight ASAP, or his life will end at only 3 years old. He deserves better. Midnight is being an angel at the vet and ALL the staff love him! He needs ALL of our help to get through this!! Please consider donating below or at our PayPal unitedpawsrescueinc@gmail.com
Attached is original bill.

EMERGENCY FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED!!
Lola is a 5 year old girl that has been searching for a forever family with us for a few months now. We rescued her after her previous owners abandoned her at the shelter. Unfortunately, her foster parents are now moving out of state next month and will be unable to take her with them. That means Lola will have NOWHERE to go by next month, and she needs a new family or foster home ASAP! Lola is a very sweet girl who tolerates dogs, but does not like other cats.
She is currently in Orlando FL but can be transported for the purrfect home. Please read below to learn more about Lola!
Lola a 5 year old with a lot of love to give. When she came out of the shelter after being abandoned by her previous family, her foster parents had no idea what to expect. She was very nervous and had a hard time adjusting. After finding the right motivation (men and snacks), she has become the sweetest cat with the biggest personality her foster parents have ever seen. She loves to talk to you and will respond to “yeah!” or “hello/hi”. She has discovered that sleeping in laps is pretty nice and that toys are fun to push around. But she still enjoys her own time as she continues to adjust to her new life. While she is tolerant of dogs, she is not so with cats. So a dog sibling is optional, but not a cat.
We stated before that she would do well in a home with a male presence and this is still true, but she has become very loving with women. Her perfect home would be a family with patience and love that will give her time to figure things out.
Please contact us asap if you can foster or would like to adopt Lola!
